USVHA Celebrates ADA Day in Boston with Mayor Wu

We had the most incredible time celebrating the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) at Boston City Hall with none other than Mayor Michelle Wu! The event was a testament to the ongoing commitment to accessibility and inclusion in our community.

Over 300 people attended the event, where vendors and disability-related organizations provided valuable information and resources to disabled Bostonians. The atmosphere was vibrant and filled with positive energy as everyone came together to promote accessibility and inclusivity.

A key highlight for us was spreading the word about volt hockey. Our booth attracted many curious attendees eager to learn about this exciting adaptive sport. We were thrilled to see so many people express interest in trying volt hockey or supporting our mission.

Marley and Avery, two of our dedicated USVHA board members, were also interviewed by the Boston Globe at the event. They shared their personal connections to ADA Day and were able to shoutout volt hockey. Check out the article here!
